Firgidaire 1-18 dryer?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

The dryer is a DIAS, DIAT OR DIA3T or one of the equivalent gas models from 1971-74. It's not a Gold Crown, a Custom Deluxe or a Deluxe but the Imperial model. At this time, only the Custom Imperial dryer had a drum light and a lighted console. There were still "Imperial" washers with a console light but these were matched with the higher end Custom Imperial dryer.

This dryer matched the WIA (Imperial with "A" suffix) washer, which also lacked the console light.

During this period, the Custom Deluxe dryers were downgraded to having timed drying only, they had two heat settings + no heat on the timer and the Deluxe dryers matched the 16 lbs washers and even lacked a temp setting (other than no heat) or woodgrain trim.

With a 1990's Kenmore washer that looks like MINE!

(Though I'll be jealous if IT has a fabric softener dispenser like one in a store I saw did, and the matching dryer had an extra knob to turn the Fabric Master On/Off, I think; unlike mine!)...

Right top, right door, right console. Looks GM to me. Even after GM sold Frigidaire to WCI, those dryers remained true to their original designs for a while. At one point the door changed and then the top, but the innards were still 1-18. Then they changed to Westinghouse dryers.
