Well, here it is - my first vintage Frigidaire washer! This is the Deluxe model that I scored at a moving sale I found on Craigslist Montreal last week. For a mere $50, I think I got a pretty nice machine!

The cabinet is nearly perfect on three sides...
But the side that used to be near the laundry tub got a little splashed and rusty. Still, nothing serious...
A wiring diagram?

Very interesting the way the model number is composed: WDAC 63
My best guesses:
W= Washer
D= Deluxe
A= Automatic
C = Canadian
63 = 1963
??
They mention a WDARC 63 - which I guess was because it had a suds-return feature.
Still, interesting that there was a Frigidaire appliance plant in Ontario!

I can just imagine the former owner carefully wiped down the tub lid and opening after each of the 17 or 18 times she used this washer!

Now THIS is a washer! The tub and pulsator are in AWESOME shape. You should be proud of this find!! Any chance we could get some panel close-ups?
I personally haven't peformed the procedure, but go to your local hardware shop and pick up some non detergent Air Compressor oil. Get cap extensions because I think you need to spin the mechanism so the nut is facing up to get the fluid in the case. Hopefully those who have performed the surgery can fill in the missing blanks.
Again - AWESOME find! I love the sound of a Multimatic washing away.

The sticker on the front has stylized Maple Leaf stating the washer was made in Canada. I remember so many appliances having this still on them after years of service. I think it was actually law that you couldn't remove it... lol
I am hopeful someone on the board will be able to help me with the oil dilemma. I am seriously thinking I'm going to have to take the tub out to do it!!

1963 was my "best guess" - I know very little about Frigidaire products (well so far!!)

Thanks! I was pretty darn excited about finding a real pulsator-style Frigidaire! When I saw what kind of shape it was I just had to have it! Shame the former owner chose not get the matching dryer...
