Hi all I am new to this group,I am experimenting with mexican detergents and i like Foca this stuff gets my white socks clean and doesn't have a strong sent it is also very inexpensive $7.00 for about 80 loads.

I have a choice of Foca, Roma, or Viva here in Tucson. I prefer the aroma of Viva so that is the one I generally use.

What a coincidence!

I am doing a load of whites right now with Foca!
I think it is great. And you can use as much as you want in the front loader. I am actually shocked how well whites come out!
I bought a huge bag for about $4.50. They had it on sale, so I though I would give it a try. I am sold on it.
I agree also, the smell does not linger in the fabric. Seems to rinse very well.

Duh!

I am so goofy! Steve, I bet that is why it is so good on whites. Because of the bluing.
I do notice when the dispenser starts to dump it on the load, that it does turn blue. I just never thought about the bluing. I should read contents more often.

I actually prefer to use the Foca on my colored loads as I think the bluing kind of "perks the colors up" a bit. I also like that if my clothes are really dirty like from working in the garden,I can use plenty of it if need be. I can even use it in my FriGEMore without sudzing it up too bad.

Viva is my favorite, however I can't use it in copious amounts in certain of my machines or it causes sudz-lock. (I think the 'Kenmo would sudz-lock on air alone, so it plum chokes to death on Viva and the 1-18 would do the same I'm sure!).

Unlike Viva, Foca has a light fresh scent to it that will rinse out almost completely. IMO a great product.

Foca

So Foca is ok to use in FL's. I will have tory it out. Thanks for the information.

Foca safe for frontloaders?

Foca sometimes generates a lot of suds in my F&P toploader during the EcoActive wash phase. About 3 oz. appears to be the magic dosage on most average loads to get a layer of suds without resulting in a total suds cake (less on small loads). I then add more for the deep wash, particularly for large/full loads. Sudsing is considerably less if there's some softener residue on the lint filter sock whenever I use it (the filter and softener).
