Back in 2005, Jeff and I visited Tom in North Canton. Jeff and I both brought our cleaners, and decided to take pictures of the three cleaners together in the same place.
Jeff's is on the Left, mine is in the middle, Tom's is on the Right. Tom's is all original -- down to the hood.

Here's an ad...
Hanging in the Historical Center... one of the various Promos for the 50th Anniversary.. What's odd about the ad -- look at the hood and the bumper.. even the bag, maybe. They look to be gold, like the base. Who knows if that ever actually happened..?

I think the replacement hood on this particular model is worthwhile. The warped hood due to motor heat that this model was known for is very distracting. I do have to say that the ones taken at the convention with original hoods are in pretty amazing shape.

Well Fred, I do have to say you have a great IMHO (Nicest) example there. I (THINK) I remember looking yours over at Hoover, and wasnt aware your hood was replaced too. . Looking at yours, mine and Guys, plus the pic you have of Jeff and Toms, all were creme and white. Now with the Garry Moore advertisement/ picture, it does throw out the possibility of an all gold version too. Knowing how Hoover liked to make running changes thru the manufacturing process to various Convertibles ( that 29 with the strange Citation bag) is just an example... I guess the old reply just fits here...."Who knows" LOL.
