I've got two of the Nuwave induction burners here at the manse. I use them almost every night. Sometimes if I cleaning or whatever, I will put one on top of the other and being a lazy slug just use the top one. WELL, lemme tell ya, plugged the top one in and started some green beans. Went to fix another adult beverage and was hearing something odd. Walked back into kitchen and the bottom UNPLUGGED burner was beeping, all the light were flashing and it was making some other weird noises. Immediately unplugged the top burner, seperated them and tested both. No problems with either. Random event or should I cancel the in ground pool install for fear of caskets popping up?

That's nothing wrong about it., just like Tomturbomatic posted above...

What to say about a an old desk lamp my father gave me? It makes the silly battery operated smoke alarm go off! I can even make a "smoke alarm rap" just like a DJ by playing with it's switch.

Carol Anne, Carol Anne, run to the light, Carol Anne! (I bet Tangina was talking about MY lamp on the movie).

I would wager its a bad idea to operate them close together in this manner. You have two closely coupled coils and the active one is inducing voltage in the 2nd one leading to odd behavior even though its not physically powered. There is the potential for physical damage even.

No problem with storing them stacked but when you power one up a few inches minimum of separation would make sense. Induction cooking is replacing physical heat with an unseen magnetic field. While its safe for humans sensitive electronics may not be so happy about it!
