Come on guys! Not only is the washer dryer, it's also that sink, apparently a "kitchen sink" unless this laudry sink is what they are referring to
AND a water heater.
And it's Detroit. There's a good chance you'll find other abandoned homes along the way filled with even more scrap.

OK ok, sure you might have to dodge a few snipers but.... it's all in a days work.

There is also a photo of a double-bowl SS sink in the listing.  The seller states that the basement was flooded when they purchased this house.  But what I don't understand is, how did the laundry sink escape unscathed?  Both the washer and the dryer appear to have been completely submerged but not a trace of smeg on the laundry sink.....

trust the listing! All other adds down the page are in an Asian language.
The map shows the area in Warren near I-696 (11 mile road) and Ryan. Those basements don't flood badly, and not that deep. Obviously the property is derelict as well. Lot's of rentals in Warren these days, especially the older G.I. houses with block foundations. Those may have been put there after being fetched form a street.
In the early 1960's, there were still fields and horses in Warren just a bit from there near 13 mile and Ryan. Now it's an inner ring suburb. As Detroit declined "Thanks to industrial job losses in the early 2,000's" and "Kwamee Kilpatrick"---mostly (pardoned last month by the exiting potus), tennants moved north accross 8 mile rd.

I remember the one GE set from back in 2017 or early 2018 in Detroit that was for $1000 or best offer.

Haven’t seen anything like that in the Southern California area, but this is something I saw that was too funny. Free bushes, anyone?

In experience I've found don't be hesitant to list anything you want gone in the free section of CL or where ever. Even leaving stuff you want gone in front of your house with a big "FREE" sign on it will often work.

Everyone wins if there is a taker. Especially if it's something heavier or will require work on your part to deal with. Just take a pic, post the item, field the phones, and manage the party when they come to pick up.

Stuff I've given away without having to lift a finger:
various amounts of scrap metal,
a 35' long camping trailer that a tree fell on and wasn't road worthy, furniture,
broken appliances,
tree branches, building materials, clothing,
a big piece of glass with sharp edges,
re-usable fiber glass insulation from an attic with no facing,
Food I no longer was interested in eating,
water softener salt from a full salt bin of a water softener being replaced,
A large freezer full of frozen frost bit food (took 3 rounds of people who brought their own boxes and bags but they took all of it),
stuff left over from cleaning out my parents garage
old tires,
Another 25' long moldy camping trailer that hadn't been used in 20 years.
boxes and shipping supplies,
rummage sale type left overs
re-usable bags of shopping bags that had accumulated.
pool chemicals.
3 old old car batteries

That's just the crap I can remember. And I've never had any problems with people coming over. They are always on their best behaviour because they are getting stuff for free. Just be fair with them and equally nice. Karma is real.

It could be a new sink. If the whole upstairs is getting torn out, it might have been easiest to just install a functional sink in the basement, and plumb water just to that while the rest of the pipes were being repaired/replaced.

yes and the appliances aren't connected to the sink, nor is the dryer connected.
The plumbing lines look brand new.

With that much water in the basement I would not be surprised if the appliances floated. I've seen that happen because the inner tub acts like an air bladder.

They probably put the machines back in place to make it "look" a certain way for inspections. Maybe they actually thought these would be savable with a little clean up. lol.
