Pickup before end of JUL or going to trash. The Philco needs major restoration. The two portable dishwashers work perfectly and the interiors are mint condition. The exteriors of both need cosmetic (paint) restoration.

GE port DW

another

inside shot, no rust on racks or inside at all, actually if you took the outer cab off and just painted the front, you could convert to built in and be allset.

Late 70's Harvest Gold 1/18 set FREE

both need mechanical work but are in very good, cosmetic condition. The washer does work but needs new bearings, knocks pretty loud and leaks. The dryer does not work. Both are "top of the line" lighted consoles. Don't have the room and with upcoming, worsening travel sched for work, I don't have the time to fix them and can't see just having them sit. Maybe someone else can fix and/or work on them and get some enjoyment out of them. If not picked up by end of JUL. I will save the consoles period and the rest to the trash.

Greg, you are a kind fellow to be willing to GIVE those awesome machines to someone.

If there was a way for me to get there in 2 weeks, I would. My work schedule is tight as well. And, with the upcoming washin on August 5th, there is no way for me to do that.

need to downsize

Hi Steve, I can work with someone timewise (hold longer) if they can DEFINATELY COMMIT to picking up what it is that they want, but I DO NOT want to hold something for an extra period of time and have someone then change their mind. I just want to try and get my collection down to idealistically ten but no more than fifteen washers and five but no more than ten dishwashers. These dishwashers that I posted have no issues at all except for cosmetic.

I sure hope someone can save all of these, especially those TOL 1-18s...if I lived closer I definitely would!

The problems the 1-18 washer has do NOT sound difficult to solve. From what I've read in the Tech-Talk manuals, most of the leaks come from the center (just like my machine), which is probably what caused the bearing noise. A new spin seal and bellows assembly will most likely fix that. As for the knocking, sounds like it would need an agitate arm adjustment.

Anyone who reads this should not be discouraged! With the right literature and tools, 1-18s are very easy to repair.

Greg, by the end of the month, if no one else wants these machines, I DO. I will find sometime to come get them. Oh what a hike, but do bare in mind, if I say I am coming, then guess what, I am there. I do have a wedding to go to in New Jersey on October 7th, maybe that would work?????? If you need them out before that time, then I guess I could make two trips. Just don't want the 1-18's to go to the trash.

pending

Hey Steve, thanks, I think the 1/18's and the westies are now spoken for but still waiting for confirmation. My folks and sister both put a deadline on me to get all appliances out of both of their basements by the end of last MAR and I ended up having surgery and being in the hospital for a week and told not to do any heavy lifting for six months. Needless to say the deadline was pushed out and now whereas I won't be around much this fall; I got to get this "wrapped up" so to speak. I wish I could be more generous with the "timeframe" but I can't.

super nice

awesome machines there..com on gang lets save them..love the dishwashers!! i wonder if greg will have room for a station wagon when his house is cleaned out?
