Clearing out the warehouse. Here's the first group.
From left to right in photos:
TWO Frigidaire (Re-Badged Hamilton) Electric Dryers Model# TU-60
Internally, both in pretty good shape. One spent it's days right next to an old gas furnace and the cabinet needs re-finishing. The pretty one was hard-wired into place. Rescued from an estate in Avondale Estates, Decatur,Georgia.
1950 Maytag AMP Serial# 287102EN
Origin unknown. Has early float built inside red bakelite Gyratator.
Looks high-mileage to me. Needs Tranny re-build.
1972 GE Combo. Model DWD8600 UCL WH
Cabinet in near perfect condition. Pristine console. Inner drum has some surface rust. Same inside. Needs belts. Rescued from a warehouse in Anniston, Alabama about 12 years ago.
1980's Kelvinator Model W585K
Old enough to have an enamel tub!
Removed from a local estate here in Roanoke. Working condition. Dreaded "angel-wing" agitator. (Maximum Wash Time available is about 20 minutes. I wonder if it can roll-over an 18lb. load at least once in that amount of time?)
Maytag A806 (deleted)
I decided to part it out.
1966 Frigidaire Deluxe Model WAK
Unusual "diaper-washer". I have come across quite a few Multimatic "diaper-washers" over the years and very few Rollermatic ones. I think I only saw one other one of these over the years. Removed from an Atlanta suburb in 2006. Cabinet is rough. Water Temp. Switch broke off, and I have a replacement. Interior and underneath is actually pretty clean. When tested in 2006 my note to myself says "Timer does not advance and slow to reach full spin speed". (Needs timer motor and rebuilt clutch?) Otherwise, pulsates, spins (with issues as noted) and pump working, water-valves energize. Tub and agitator in very good condition.
If anyone is SERIOUSLY interested in any of these, shoot me a message ASAP.
All are headed to the krusher by next Wednesday.
Located in Zip Code 24015.
