ALDI - ALMAT TABLET TEST!

I decided to test the Aldi bio tablets first.

Decided a great test would be the dogs duvet which is in the back of my car for when I take him out to the country park for his daily morning walk. As you can imagine with all that mud about the dog gets filthy which means the duvet gets filthy! What better item to use as a test!

Decided to use the cottons number 2 programme but on "profile" wash which reduces the temperature from 60 down to 50.

It's washing away as im typing but here are a few picks to start

1 Tablet Only!.....Decided To Try 1 Tablet As You Suggested Nick.
The Packaging Says 1 Tablet For Light / Normal Soiling in Soft Water and 2 Tablets For Heavy Soiling In Soft Water.

Almat Tablets

Hi Nick & Mark,
I also use one Tablet per load with perfect results.

I'm looking forward to the results on this load.
By the look of the Almat Tabs they appear very similar to the Formil Tabs, even the outer wrapper has a similar look to the printing. Well if they are the same as the Formil Tabs you will be very impressed with the cleaning performance and clear rinsing.

Now hurry up Hotpoint and finish that cycle!

David the tabs are different I would say. .

The Lidl tablets are made of the "hundreds and thousands" where the Aldi tablets are compressed powder. (Hope that Makes sense). The Aldi one I used fully dissolved in the drawer withoout any problems. The Lidl ones I have to crush up first. Ive just compared the 2 and the Lidl one is slightly thicker but less wide than the Aldi one.
The packets are also different. The design to show you what to do with them is different and also it shows you a different way on opening them on each one.The 2 tone design though is the same.
But who knows they could still be made by the same company but made to look completely different.

Well completely ballsed that test up. For some reason because of the suds I assumed the powder had dissolved in the drawer...Wrong!

Only half the tablet dissolved so the results are faulty as it's only on half a tablet!

Im now rewashing it with a Tesco Bio Tablet with phosphates and ive just checked and all the tablet plus the half Aldi one has been dissolved .

Half the tablet left!

Even though clearly there are still some mud stains, personally I would say good results for using half a tablet with the amount of soil it had and temperature used. It recommended 2 tablets for heavy soil.
