I bought this yesterday
It's being delivered today. It was in good shape except for lots of calcium buildup in the tub. Any suggestions on cleaning the tub in a safe way?

I like using a drill with a brass wire brush attachment for tough jobs like you are describing.

Well we have problems
It seemed to work fine and did a couple of hot loads with cascade and vinegar, which got a lot of calcium out.
But then it seems the cold water fill wasn't kicking in and then it wouldn't stop filling with hot water.
I only could turn off the hot water from the wall to make it stop.
Help

One more thing
Because there was so much calcium deposits and the washer arrived working fine. Could some of that calcium got into the inlet that controls this causing this issue?

With all the calcium buildup, the fill valve is probably full of it. Either clean it out, or replace it
