Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Possibly, but others here will know for sure.  The main give-away about the dryer is the door, that's definitely a GM Frigidaire dryer.  When WCI bought the name, they switched the cabinet to a typical WCI configuration/door.

The dryer is a 1974-75 DIA or a 1976-77 DEI. This model has the automatic cycle and "Press Saver" feature but it still lacks the lighted panel, drum light and a few other features from the Custom Imperial model.  The 1978 models (made after September of 1977) didn't have the shading, Harvest Gold was replaced by "Wheat" and the darker color from the Harvest Gold shading was used on all the cabinet.

Fridgidare Stack Laundry Center - works GREAT! - $250 (N/W

maybe not exciting, but it seems clean overall, but has the door yellowed, ya think?

This Laundry Center is a WCI-made model without the GM Synchro-Swing transmission or the one-piece agitub. It's very similar to the previous GM model but it has an extra knob on the right on the control panel. The picture showing the agitator and tub also help!  The dryer is still the fire hazard that was featured in the previous GM models!

Probably the worst thing that GM made but one of the very few things that WCI left unchanged after they took over! (the other thing that was almost unchanged was the Amana-sourced microwave ovens but these were OK!).

That Compact Letriclean 30"

I've never see one with the clock/timing center in that location, facing up, rather than a "tower" in the back corner.  But it's beautiful--chrome/stainless and black!!

Definitely "on" "something" for asking $3750.  It's beautiful though.  I don't recall seeing one with the black base as well as back sides!!

vintage frigidaire stove - $450 (Gaffney)

Ad: "Complete your vintage kitchen with this awesome frigidaire stove made by General Motors. This old girl is ready for another 50 years of southern cooking. Everything works on her. Double ovens, timer, stove top even the original lightbulb with manual ballast . She doesn't need to be restored she is well taken care of. Almost museum condition.

40 inches wide, 220 volt. I'll take $450 or the very best offer, and I've already had offers of 350... Turned down. She is priced to move, use it, display it, or even resale it for higher. I've seen them for $1600. We just redone our kitchen in stainless steel so we need it gone. Soon. I don't need help selling. Take care!"

My comment: How can it be nearly museum ready…isn't that a paint chip the size of dollar coin on the lower left bottom?

ad: "Free vintage range. A real classic. Worked great until the oven stopped working last week. I don't know anything about diagnosing the problem. I just hate to see it scrapped because it's really cool looking and it worked great. My wife bought a new range which will be delivered on February 5 come get it before they take it away thank "

That Cookmaster dial is a devil, especially when it’s old.  The clock and timer on my Frigidaire don’t work at all, so I thought I was immune from this problem.  But one day, my oven simply wouldn’t heat up. Because I’d read about Cookmaster problems, I decided to advance the clock and fiddle with the Cookmaster dials.  After a bit of that, lo and behold, the oven started working again.  Obviously something is loose back there that I need to fix.

The moral of the story is that you should always check the Cookmaster when you’re oven suddenly stops working, even when it looks like everything is set correctly.

While the International Register clocks that Frigidaire used on some 1961 and most of it's 1962 and newer models are quite durable, the oven timer contacts are quite small and tend to burn. I fixed a few of these but many repairman just cancel the timer and simply bypass them. That's quite an easy fix. You just have to remove the 4 screws holding the wires for the oven and join them in pairs on two screws and leave the two other contacts unused.

I inquired about the range in Vermont. The seller answered me immediately, the clock isn't working and it might need a few things fixed but since it's free... It's just too far from me as it's two hours south of Burlington VT.

The range and refrigerator in reply #82 have been around for quite some time now - but the price has dropped.  They may be needing to find some $$$ to pay taxes with...  Ya never know!

I'm tempted to pick up one of those '63s for parts.  I have a sunny yellow version that I do not want to replace ever.  The stove is built like a tank!

nice range, not so nice price...pink :-(

A nice Frigidaire range but way over-priced at $750. Maybe some movie studio in nearby LA will buy it if they're filming "The Jane Mansfield Story." In San Diego.

I just don't care for pink. I don't think it's good for my image. I won't even let the Mary Kay lady park in front of my house when she comes to drop off my order.
