Frigidaire Front Load FWT449GFS1 DC Motor No Rotation

I have the above washer with a May 1999 build label. It has a 131276200 DC motor. I replaced the OEM motor ~ 2007, it has recently stopped working again. I did an ohm check on the failed motor and found the following:

Terminals / Spec / Measured
3-4 / 0.37 / 1.6
5-6 / <5 / 7.3
1-2 / 135 / 136
7-8 / <1 / 12.3

I installed a new 131276200 motor, as the above checks indicate a failed motor. It still does not work, ohm check on the new replacement motor showed:

Terminals / Spec / Measured
3-4 / 0.37 / 1.7
5-6 / <5 / 4.5
1-2 / 135 / 135
7-8 / <1 / 0.4

I have been unable to obtain the exact service manual for this machine. I do have:
- GE WSXH208T Service Manual 31-9005 10-1998
- GE WSXH208A Service Manual 31-9060 8-2000
- Electrolux Service Manual 5995369211 7-2002
- Electrolux Service Bulletin Dec 2003

The Service Bulletin listed above makes reference to a March 2000 Service Bulletin, I am trying to obtain a copy of that for additional help.

Any advice on what my next steps are to fix this? I really want to keep this unit running as I have recently replaced the drum/spider, bearings, seal, and tub perimeter seal. It also fits into a customized laundry under counter area, and new washers won't fit into this space.

you might have to look into a motor/control board replacement at this point....

never hurts to be on the lookout for a spare machine should this one ever need replacing.....

I am in favor of the Kenmore Versions....more features and options, plus the dryer is also stainless...

Dead Early FD FL Washer

Likely either a bad motor board or a door lock switch-lock problem, we have used boards around and timers for these washers if you want to try either of these options.

Would a bad motor board cause a new motor to fail?

I’ll replace the door latch, a new one was delivered today.

I obtained a replacement door lock, Part No 131763256. It appears that this part is not correct, as it has female connectors for the wiring

The OEM part in the washer is Bitron 131269400. This part is very different and has no connectors, only male spade terminals as shown in the picture below. Both have 8 wires/terminals.

Should I return 131763256 or is there a way to wire it up using the spade terminals and use the new 131763256?

I still have not found the repair manual for this washer, any help on obtaining this would be appreciated. I was able to get a PDF of the Service Bulletin Index, there is reference to replacing the Bitron swith with an adapter kit 131888900 to utilize the new wax motor door lock. This kit is 131888900

Maybe I should leave the door lock as is and replace the motor control board for the next step to get this machine running?

I found additional documentation in the Electrolux July 2000 Service Bulletin that conflicts with the motor terminal resistance specs posted above. See below.

I have en-route a new motor control board, timer, and 131888900 door lock conversion kit. I will install the control board and door lock kit with Motor 3 and see if that gets it running.

It appears Motors 1 & 2 have failed, based on the resistance values for terminals 7-8. Motors 3 & 4, both new, appear to be OK.

Would a failed motor control board have caused Motor 2 to fail? Or would Motor 2 failure cause the control board to fail?

I found my old file with the original documentation for this washer. Note wiring diagram and motor no spin diagnosis items attached.

I plan on replacing the door switch and testing from there. New motor control board will likely deliver by week end.

Yes I would try the door lock assembly at this point.

I have upgraded the door lock switch to the newer wax motor kit and installed a certified used timer. Still no motor rotation.

A new motor control board will arrive in a few days, shouldn't be anything else to fix, right?

Running perfect for the past 2 weeks. The new motor control board seems to spin the drum faster than before.
