Frigidaire Frontload Gallery Door Handles

The handles on my Frigidaire Gallery front load washer and dryer have finally broke off. The plastic piece that the the screws go into have broken in half.

I found the part number and yikes, $60.00 and up per handle, which is not in my budget at the current time. This is the handle I need. But.......[this post was last edited: 8/9/2010-20:42]

I'm wondering if I could attach something like this to the doors of the washer and dryer.

Just tour a local junkyard and you should be able to fine one

No luck in fining handles to so I think I will try and glue the original handles back on using Permatex glue, but I have my doubts because there is much left to glue them too. I also thought of getting the black handle and gluing it to the door using the Permatex.
