Drooling Even More

What can I say that hasn't already been said. It's a gorgeous set Rich. How did you find these beauties? Did they require restoration?

Thanks for the illustration! That explains things much better for me. I'm sure it was a selling point---not having to vent the dryer to the outdoors.

These beauties have been all across the country! The washer was found curbside by Jimmy Filter Flo in Ohio. It was this close to going to the crusher! Then it went to Greg Gansky1, who found the matching dryer. The washer, although cosmetically perfect on the outside needed some transmission work. After Greg got the washer, myself and several other club members went to Greg's home in Omaha one weekend to rebuild the Unimatic transmission under Robert Unimatic's guidance. That was very enlightening and a lot of fun.
Then I aquired the set. And they will go no further...they have found their permanent home. I grew up with this 1955 Imperial pair. Thanks everybody for your kind comments.
