After much research I've finally (thanks to today's POD) identified the separate units that were based off the skinny mini design. The W3-24 and the W3-224 models. I want one of these so bad! Now I know what I'm looking for as these are the 1st pics I've actually seen of them? The dryer is a D-24. Anyone have more literature about them or the Skinny-Mini I'd love that. I know they're not "true" Frigidaire, lacking the piston washing and all, but I saw a clip of the agi-tub system somewhere and I thought it was neat.

I had a skinny mini with the agi-tub, it was okay, just two small for me. It was in a trailer that I bought. I used it for about year and then got a Shredmore. I gave it back to the guy I was buying the trailer from after Kenmore arrived.

No, these are true Frigidaires. The Synchro-Swing mechanism was pretty wild. I believe MHO this was going to be the mechanism that would replace the 1-18, with a real oscillating agitator for washing and the roller for high speed spin.

I would love to find the individual units!

wash action

My skinny mini has a decent turn over if you don't overload it. It had a far better capacity of any compact or stacked machines of its day. And, it has that great solid tub spin action for added drama. I, too, would love to find it as a single washer instead of the stack set that I already have.

The Skinni Mini really is not a bad washer/dryer, much better washer capacity than the WCI version. The GM agitub design is unique in that it is GM Frigidaire's only oscillating agitator design and their final washer transmission design. I found a fabric softner dispenser for my Skinni Mini agitub...it's cool. Locating one of those single washer-only agitubs would be a great find. I've never seen one in person.
