Just an FYI the tag in post 9 & 10 is a referred to as a TL Neptune.
It tumbles the clothes over like a front loader for washing and rinsing but when it spins to extract the water it's like a top loader.

you got it darlin'!!

when i walked in, i was looking around and i had seen the frigidaire stove before, when it was in the "working" space, waiting to be worked on. i don't go to this place often so i don't know when it got moved to that hidden back storage place. but it was moved back there.

anyways, after looking around, i was going to walk out and i thought,
"hey wait a minute! i have my phone and i should take pictures to post in the group. they would probably LOVE to see this stove!" and then i spotted the GE washer and said, "i've got to take a picture of that GE." and then i was checking out the maytag A608 and when i took out that stuck lint filter, i thought, "ewwwwww! i've got to share this with the group!!!" i had seen a picture of a lint filter that looked similar to this one (i can't remember who's maytag lint filter it was?) but, i do remember seeing a lint filter that was in similar conditions as this one. and i couldn't believe that it was actually true and that i was actually seeing it in person!!! i just couldn't believe and also wondered, "did the previous owner even know that there was a lint filter that lifted out of the agitator? i just can't imagine how long of lint build up that could've been on there!!!???!!!
LOL......

i hope you all got a kick out of the pictures.
i took these pictures with all of you in mind......

maytag tl neptune.....

rick!

thank you for the description of the maytag neptune washer. i was wondering just how this maytag worked. i was wondering if the pulsator wheels turned in the same direction, to tumble the clothes all in the same direction? or if the 2 pulsator wheels turned in opposite directions, making the clothes rub against each other to make them get cleaned?

the thing is, when i looked in the tub & seen the 2 pulsator wheels, i got a flashback of looking into the washtub of the hoover twin tub or the other twin tubs that had the pulsator wheel, off to the side, at the bottom of the washtub. i think it was a panasonic twin tub that might have been made like that (if i remember correctly??).

i am going to see if there is a video on youtube of a maytag neptune in action, so that i can see how the clothes get washed in this kind of topload washer. here's a question for you, which will probably get answered if i find a youtube video but, does this wash tub get full with water? or does it use a limited amount of water??

:o/
