Frigidaire TL washer & dryer pair

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

Agitation: The stroke is long and slow, similar to the older Maytags. The tub indexes counterclockwise. Rollover is good, provided you don't overload. Very gentle.

Spin is pretty good, at least 600 rpms. The "power spin" on the "whites" cycle (which is the regular cycle) is 12 minutes long. It does not spin any faster than the other cycles. There is no brake, just a lid lock. It takes about 2 minutes for the lid to unlock. There is a neutral drain and separate pump motor.

Overall, not a bad pair of machines. They were a bargain, and no worse in quality than any Whirlpool made machine.

Bobby, nice shots, best of luck with them, The SS drum is a great idea no chips no rust. My washer is a couple of clicks down from yours, I have always been happy with its performance. alr2903

Nice pictures. You'll love the dryer, I've had mine for over 10 years now and it hasn't missed a beat,

beautiful machine Bobby!! i am getting a frigidair pair soon! except, i am getting the base washer with the 3 vane solid agitator, i am getting one step up for the dryer so i can have 3 heat settings, i love the indexing tub, that's why i want this machine, very gentle, good rollover (if not over loaded) just trying to sell my 2007 LG front loaders first. i think i am a loyal top loader person ;-)

Congrats on your purchase, Bobby. I have the same washer and dryer---but where did you buy them to get a SS dryer drum? That's excellent!

Certain things about the washer annoy me (maximum water level, no perm-press cool down), but otherwise it's really not a bad machine at all. No hyper-fast agitation, YAY! And you can't beat the price.

It's fun to watch the clothes go 'round, isn't it?

They are nice machines, for the money. For the house I still prefer a top loader. Frigilux, you can tweek the water level. The set water level was 2 inches lower than what you see. That sucked. The newer dryers (2007) come with the SS drum. They have discontinued the painted drum. Dryer is nice and quiet, but the automatic sensor leaves a bit to be desired. The clothes almost always come out damp. Nothing like an old Maytag with Electronic Control.

hey bobby! i was wondering how i could tweak the water level in my frigidaire? when i get it, i already know the low water level is going to annoy me very much! lol

Frigilux:
I bet your dryer has a turn to start knob. Notice how they changed it to a push button with the later SS drum models.

Bobby---

You're right; I have a "turn-to-start" knob on my dryer. Washer cycles look identical to mine, and you don't have the dreaded dumbed-down hot water Precision Temp, thank goodness.

Now, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE tell me how you tweaked your water level!!

Thanks---
Frigilux
