WOW

Beautiful machines! Congratulations. If you could post a picture of the interior of the washer that would be appreciated.

Were disc brakes an option on the '66

Mercury Park Lane? Most cars did not come with them standard until 1969 or 70.
I once got to drive a '69 Chrysler Newport with drums on the front still, and that heavy beast stopped on a dime. A Toronado may have been heavier than the Merc. It was front drive, and that big transaxle was very heavy.
I see a blue German Ford Sierra (Merkur XR4ti) in the photo's.

Blanche Deverau's

car she was selling was the worst thing out of Detroit in years.
Bet it wasn't a 4,000 pound behemoth with a 460 4 barrel. Probably the 80's fox or panther platform Marquis. There was also a fox platform T-Bird with speaker box tail lights. I think the Chrysler LeBaron outsold them. Then we had the very cheaply made GM A body cars of that era. Not the front drive ones, those were among the first to get any "world class quality" advances. Except the Buick Grand national of course.
One season featured a blue 1985-ish Olds Calais pulling up the driveway in the opening scene each week.
