Rex I think you are looking for a song by Louisiana cajun, " Mr. Doug Kershaw". I did a quick search on you tube but could not find it. IIRC he performed it on "Helen Reddy" or "Mac Davis" in the 1970's. alr

air2903-70's was the time I heard the song-was on a country radio station in the Wash DC area.-WMZQ FM.Will try looking for Doug Kershaw on YouTube tomorrow and see if its there.Tried today and couldn't find that song.Maybe now we have a singers name it might be easier to find.
