My mom has a Sears avocado hair dryer much like the GE but with no mist. It even has a wired remote controller so you can set the temp without having to reach back for it.

Modern convenience for the modern woman.

Miss Breck. Have a can of it with the gals in the ovals. It's unscented ("The natural way to spray!") and full. Part of me is dying to give it a try.

Lawrence, there are zillions of Farberware skillets on ebay all the time. Most of them look unused. Betcha you could find a bargain.

As for me, I like Teflon. Anything that makes life easier--Teflon, polyester, cheez in a spray can... What was it DuPont used to say? "Better living through chemistry"?

They say hairspray destroys the ozone layer. Come on, don't you think it's worth it?

My mother had a GE hairdryer that was a slim rectangular box unit, about the size of a small briefcase or thick laptop. A little door slid open at one end for attachment of a flexible hose and bonnet. And I believe there was a hidden storage compartment for the hose and bonnet. Darn thing had an awful plastic odor when running, and the hose got HOT at the outlet.
