If your nose is real good, I bet you that when you open your towel closet it will make yoou remember laundry day when growing up!
This is the bomb!

Just use non scented detergent and fabric softener and a little of gain FireWorks in the wash and boom....., watching mom hanging laundry in the back yard!

Downy original

Although my mother did not use fabric softner, I always did and liked original Downy the best. My neighbor was cleaning out her garage last year and found 3 big unopened jugs of original hidden away and gave them to me. I still have almost 2 left to use and that smell does bring you back. Now if it would just stop raining. Since the first of May we have had 31 days of rain and it keeps getting worse. I have wash piling up to do since it has rained for the past 9 days and next 2 forcasted. I hate to use the dryer much and slwsys hang wash outside unless it is below freezing.

No Malcolm, no money for the upgrade.
My vintage electric Kenmore is doing a great job drying but I will have to replace the rear bulkhead since this one is worn. :-((
A donor dryer from this era will do the trick very cheaply!
