While I'm using Downy Free & Gentle for clothing (Aqua di Gio trumps softener scent) a burgeoning collection of softeners/conditioners clutters the drawer under the washer for bed and bath linens.
The latest: Downy Infusions 'Botanical Mist 'and Downy Unstoppables 'Fresh'. The liquid Unstoppables was $9.00 at ShopKo. The 'Fresh' version has a nice scent. Of course the bottle instructs you to use the Unstoppables beads in conjunction with this fabric conditioner. I can't imagine the migraine that would cause, LOL. The liquid is plenty strong on its own in the final rinse.
Botanical Mist is a little classier-smelling than standard Downy and substantially less expensive than the liquid Unstoppables.
I have to stay out of ShopKo, as they have about six versions of the upscale Infusions and
a couple more of the Unstoppables. My collection will congeal before it gets used as it is, LOL.
UPDATE: The uber-expensive Unstoppables 'Fresh' is a winner; and although it perfumed the entire lower level of the house when the washer drained, the scent remaining after drying is light, but very...nice. I wonder if the 1400 rpm final spin pulls so much water from the load that there just isn't much softener/conditioner left in the fabric. We'll see if the scent hangs on 'til the other set goes on the bed Wednesday.[this post was last edited: 7/10/2016-10:08]
