Gays are "abnormal" and "delusional"

When will the time come, hopefully in our lifetime, that who cares if you are gay, straight or bi. Everyone is a human being with feelings, love and a brain. My opinion is not your sexual preference but who you are as a person and what and how you act that will make you a friend. I don't want to sleep with every woman or man I see. I don't think it should make a difference. That is you private option. What happens in the bedroom or where ever is your personal business. Show me some interesting conversation and some knowledge other than who I would like to screw or get with. That is such old hat. I know of a guy in the gym where I workout and all he talks about is all the women who he has had and all the ones he is looking for now. Plus he is married. That gets so old and boring. I always try to change the conversation to something interesting and he catches on and drops his subject.
I don't care who you are, what you have sex with, your religion, you color or race. It's what you are as a human being that interests me. There are assholes in all of the above mentioned and I won't associate with them. Just my $85 billion, inflation, used to be two cents..

To me, "normal" and "abnormal" have no meaning when used to describe people. They are definitions formed by learned, invented, or imposed standards that have no basis for logical comparison.

A person's body temperature may be normal, but the person itself can never be.

Normal, BTW is what the majority of people do (or believe) in a particular time and place. This changes constantly.

So being abnormal simply means being different. Not good or bad; just not within the majority.

At one time one could be killed for being left-handed because it was abnormal. I think you'd be hard-pressed in most parts of the evolved, civilized world to find anyone who gives this issue one iota of thought.

So will it (again) be one day with concerns over with whom a person shares love and physical affection.

Well last time I checked "gay"s ARE part of the human race but if being HUMAN is to be converted into a numbers game .. Who is more NORMAL a someone with Green eyes or someone who is Gay/Bisexual?? based on such logic persons with green eyes are even more abnormal than gay /bisexual people

The word normal is from the Latin root norma, which means "from the carpenter's square". Its meaning had nothing to do with the concept of "in common with the majority".

It might be accurate to call homosexuality abnormal, but it's also accurate to say that, normally, somewhere between 10% and 30% of human beings have a homosexual or bisexual orientation.

Coincidentally here in northern Ontario we had the same kind of incident just a couple of days ago. One of the local candidates in Sudbury, ON running in the upcoming federal election was speaking to a group of about 200 high school students. One of the students asked him his position on gay marriage. His reply was that all gays should be executed! yes, executed! The police are now investigating to see if hate crime charges can/should be laid against him.
