Hi mates!
Never thought to found something in Europe, less in Italy!
The customer says it was imported from Canada (220V-50Hz).
I was asked to repair it as it doesn't drain and the recirculation jet doesn't reach the filter (it seem very poor indeed!)
I would suggest check the pump for a stray sock.
Since you say it doesn't recirc, or drain this could be the problem, or maybe a clog at the inlet where the tub connects to the pump.
I've been readin for years this website looking ad those wonderful american style washing machine adn looking at how good the restorator men were to put in working order again such crushable machine in worst condition that this and now... I'm really worried about managing this machine.
And more there's a problem to the agitating system, first of all because you hear squeazing during the motion but further because you've the push down the agitator to be the washing action effective.
congrats on finding that over there in italy-looks like there
are at least 2 italian members with late model filter-flos!
for the pump not pumping, check that the pump coupler hub on
the end of the motor clutch shaft is not loose (it's held on
by a roll pin)For the agitator problem, there is a rubber
vibration damper that couples the agitator hub to the plastic
portion of the agitator-that might be stripped out.
If everything is spinning in the pump drive area then either the pump hoses are blocked or something is stripped in the pump. I may be wrong but I though that Canadian machines ran on the same 120 volt 60 cycle power that US machines do.
Great find! As a matter of fact General Electric has a long history of producing 220V appliances and selling them on the European market. A neighbour of us had a washer that was probably a GE (I think it was a 1956 model) and somebody I know told me they had an imported GE washer and dryer in his youth (late fifties/early sixties). So, it's not a surprise to see a 220V GE washer.
Besides GE I have also seen 220V Whirlpool washers and dryers and also an older 220V American Hotpoint washer.
