Thanks guys.
I have been in Margate AC with my partner for awhile and no PC lol.
And not much fun on a phone but I going to attemp this.
Seems like All machines today uses
COLD TO COOL WASH TEMPS.
I was talking to a lady in Shop Rite yesterday she had Tide coldwater
I ask her if she liked it she said yes
Very much.
Well she also said she has light soiled
Clothes.
Since this is trending again I'm up for the challenge
In moderation but will still use warm and hot temps.
But I'm afraid guys its here to stay.
I wished I had more time with Martins Cabrio machine
To use low water cool washes with whites.
I'm not sure if he has or not with Tide coldwater.
Anyway had more pics of Machine shopping.
I wonder if John Lefever looked at the new GE washers
And his take on them.
I found my old box of coldpower that I thought
I lost.

The dispenser is nice. But am a little *surprised* to see that, if you want to use another softener, the machine will beep so you can add it manually. Very retro - in a bad way. I think they could have added a small dispenser somewhere.

My next door neighbor has a new GE with one of those stupid impellers and using nothing for water. She put a bed spread in and it was not wet in places and her old Whirpool washed it fine. She says she has to do twice the loads now and sometims they still have to be run thru again. So much for energy efficiency. They didnt listen to me when I told them to buy a Speed Queen.

Saw in a another thread on a top of the line GE.
I would like that model because of the internel water heater.
I'm sort of still baffled on steam cycles ..
What and how it works..especially a top loader.
And why special cycles for tomato , grass, ext..
I mean one artical with the stain and the rest not..
I don't think anyone uses Stain Treat cycles ..like
Neptunes Stain Brain..and others.
Would like to see it work someday GE new line.

I don't understand how steam works in a top-loader. It makes sense Ina front-loader because the clothes are constantly tumbling through the steam. The internal heater is a strong selling point. Now that I know how an Immersion Care works, I'm curious about these giant-tubbed, high-tech machines. With internal heaters. There may be a new toy in the laundry room by summer's end...
 
built in the USA but...

I'm wondering if they were designed by LG?
In any event I'm considering replacing my laundry set with something GE.

It's either that or SpeedQueen but I am always washing comforters/bulky items.
 
I checked them out at the store a couple of weeks ago. They sure are big inside!
One thing I would be concerned about is that on the model without the smart dispense system, there was no way to clean the dispensers, as they were tucked under the metal frame.

When their new, American made "RightHeight" front loaders make it to the stores, I will be most curious to see the build quality.
 
The manual talks about the detergent and softener tanks. There's a way to clean the tanks out in the Special Features mode and it talks about what to do if you think the tank is clogged.

 

It also talks about how to set the detergent and fabric softener amounts, I was really surprised at how flexible this machine is about dispensing. It can be set to dispense anywhere from 0.4 ounces of detergent or fabric softener to 12.5 ounces. That's quite a big gap but it can be used to account for water softness and detergent/fabric softener concentrations. The concentrations can be selected separately (detergent and softener) anywhere from 5-100 in increments of 5. A concentration setting of 5 will give you 0.4, 0.5, or 0.6 ounces depending on which of the three dose sizes you select for the given load. For a concentration setting of 100 you'll get 7.5, 10.0, or 12.5 ounces. I quite like this machine for this feature alone. I use more fabric softener than most and like that I can up the dosage and it will dispense it all automatically the way I want it to!

I have seen these washers in Home Dept in their pretty gray color, and they are all scratched up like cheap patio furniture plastic chairs. Couldn't they make the tops porcelain on steel enamel for the price they are asking?

I will stick with Whirlpool

Like many off the comments above I suspect this might be an LG in disguise, but I could be wrong. The first one how ever is a hydrowave machine based on the 1997 super epic plastic garbage shredders that replaced the GE filter flows...avoid at all cost.

The Maytag isn't to bad if its with the agitator and the deep water wash is more of a gimmick due to the fact it only available on the heavy duty cycle.
