Hey Guys,
I need some help on a possible cause/cure for an error code that has popped up on my sister's range in her condo.
She shut the power to it about 2 months ago and when she turned it back on yesterday, the range came on and then started beeping. It displays an error code of "F7 and DB" on the control display
Model number is JS900S0K1SS S/N VH2073070
the F& error code points to a stuck button on the control but she tried pressing them all.
What does the "DB" indicate?
She has turned the breaker off and waited for the control to reset at least a half dozen times and it still comes back? Could it be a bad controller or maybe corrosion on the plug contacts?
Any and all ideas will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

Used to live in a house that had one of these. The first time I ran the self-clean on the oven, I noticed during the cycle that the touchpad had become distorted. It evened back out after the range cooled, but after that, I always set up a room fan to blow on the touchpad whenever I ran the self clean.

And to think--

GE invented self cleaning! It's a sad commentary when using a feature could aid in the thing's destruction.

Self Cleaning??

Believe me, my sister has probably never turned the oven on, no less tried a self clean cycle. Looks Like I will have to make a trip down to Naples and take care of this for her. Maybe she should have left it powered up instead of turning off the breaker to prevent surge problems! But thanks for the hints. Keep them coing. I am open to all of them!
