The site just lost Tom Anderson "myhooverco" who just deleted his profile and disappeared, tired of getting hate emails and personal attacks when posting.......

Everyone has their disagreements but...

Well that's too bad. The best way to handle those kind of emails is to treat them just like spam and delete them without reading them. I'd be willing to bet that most if not all of those emails to Tom were from "anonymous" people like so many that I get. If I got upset at every hate email I received over years from running this site it would have been shut down years ago and we all wouldn't know each other.

I sure do hope Tom will reconsider and come back.

My thoughts exactly Robert, as I expressed them to Tom about his decision. He could not be persuaded to change his mind. Timonator also got a slew of hate mail, most of it anonymous and of the same tone as Tom. I think many of us on here including myself have had this happen, sometimes over and over. I delete them ALL without even reading. Its very hard to have a positive attitude about a hobby and a site when negative thoughts are slung thru emails etcs......

I agree with Robert, I hope that Tom will reconsider his decision. I wouldn't be surprised if some of this "hate" mail that Tom has received didn't even come from someone here. 99% of the members here and on the vacuum site are wonderful people but like with any group there is always going to be those troubled individuals lurking out there. If we treat these silly emails as spam and don't read them then there will be no reason for us to have any negative feelings.

Hate Mail!

Yes Its true I have recieved some Hate mail..but also some Really positive Mail too! Ive never been one not to say whats on my mind gets me in trouble sometimes! But I really dont get caught up in the drama end of things. I enjoy this site and have lots of fun with it and once again thank Robert for taking the time out to make it happen. It's too bad really that for whatever reason people choose to create drama and become kinda sneaky and hide behing the internet curtain but Thats part of being on the net It happens all over the place! What I want to see is more postings of other peoples collections! And lets have fun ! Ive met some really wonderful people on here who have helped me dearly and lets face it How many people are really into this kinda thing...Were a rare breed Ladies and Gentlemen! lets play nice and have fun!! Well, I hope that someone is able to help get this machine going. I think it is beautiful machine, and if I am remembering correctly there is also a matching dryer to this.
