Get Those Heads Up! Maytag "Porta-Washer" in KY

Seller has no idea what he's got. Calls it a "washer dryer".

Looks in pretty good condition.

Wow. Well, it does have a separate dryer, if you look at the rest of the photos. The main washer unit has a combo wash/rinse basket, and a spinner. Like a twin tub.

The interesting point for me is that the lint filter is nearly identical to that on my early 60's DE-500. But the logo on the washer is modern Maytag. I guess recycling old ideas wasn't unheard of at Maytag. I wonder if the dryer is also a "Halo of Heat" design?

Makes me wonder also if this is a Euro model.

Good call!

Now the asking price does not seem that bad, though a tad high for items sold "As Is". Would make a nice set for someone.

IIRC the Porta-Dryer like Hoover's for their twin tub set, vented indoors and were rather small even when compared to other portable dryers.
