Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Thanks, Austin! Appreciate your help. One more question for you, if you don't mind:

Does this mean there's a low-sudsing---excuse me---bajaespuma version of Ariel? Or does it just mean 'Ariel is low-sudsing and can be used in a front-loader'?

The little photo of a front-loader with the phrase 'Use Ariel bajaespuma' is on every bag.

Doesn't matter much to me in actual practice, I guess; After several years of using only HE detergents, everything I'm now using (except Persil) is non-HE. I get great results and have no more of a rinsing issue than I did using Tide HE. I keep forgetting that I used standard detergents in FL'ers for many years before the HE's became available in the US.

Eugene, there's a separate formula. I've not seen it around here locally, but some people on THS have mentioned finding it.

Oh, and sheets. I like to use Ace on sheets being as they're typically a less-grungy-type load and tend to suds more during EcoActive with a full dose of detergent.

Thanks for the info, Glenn.

I've found two places online that sell Ariel, but they sell only the standard version for whites/light colorfast items. I'm hoping I can scope out the Mexican grocery in Worthington and that it will stock south-of-the-border detergents. I'm thinking Ace, Ariel and Persil will be my import trinity. And my beloved Tide CW, of course. It's weird to actually be washing in warm water again. Judging by what Launderess posted, my import detergents are meant to be used in 90-degree-and-up water temps.

I washed all my bedding (from the mattress pad on up through the comforter) in Ariel and used yellow Suavitel in the rinse. The scent actually kept me awake for awhile last night! Today it's mellowed, but definitely still there. I like it.

Trend

Venus, my mom also would use Trend for giving us a bubble bath, if we ran out of Mr. Bubble or Soakey! I didn't think anybody else did that. She would use Trend for her dishes.
