Hello, I haven't said much in the few years that I've been a member, but wanted you all to know that I now have my very own laundromat! I purchased a GLGH1642F Frididaire Laundry Center in addition to my daily drivers- LG 2277 WM and DLE5977. I had to go with a gas dryer as I'm already running an electric.. Didn't have the capacity in my home to add an additional electric dryer...

There is another member with a Frigidaire washer that has the water level up to the glass, that's how I do I do it too!

I LOVE my Frigidaire!!! I could have gotten another LG set, but wanted the additional WATER! Water and detergent clean clothes!

This will be my 5th washer ... 1st was an Equator 3600CE that I had in my apartment. It died and service where I was living (Chico, CA) was crappy... 2nd was a FTF530F (Frigidiare) that I never adjusted the water level on.. Wish I would have been a member then, I wouldn't have gotten rid of it. 3rd was a Bosch set WFK2401 was the washer and the matching dryer I can't remember.. Great set! Whitest whites I ever had.. Unfortunately, boards for the machines were going out.. After paying to have the board in the dryer replaced twice (short in the dryer somewhere and I did fix it myself) I gave up and bought my 4th the LG set...

Let me know your thoughts, etc.. If anyone has any tricks to raise the water level in an LG set let me know!

Pictures soon to follow (can't find the cord to connect the camera to the computer).

I have an LG washer and dryer and use the PP cycle which allows me to pour as many as 4 extra gallons of water in through its dispenser which brings the water level up to just above he base of its window. As you may already know,it makes a diffeeence in the cleanliness of the clothes.I sometimes use its Stain cycle option which lengthens the wash to a full 15 minues.I don't understand why but the heavy and towels cycles use considerably less water in their wash cycle.

Hi Kacy

I just purchased the Frigidaire Gallery front load washer GLTR1670FS and the stainless steel dryer GLER104FSS and I love them! I've had several Frigidaire sets before and tons of other machines too. (My ASKO's are in the garage) The first thing I did when I got the new set delivered was go under the hood and tweak the water valve thing. I adjusted the amount of water and the pressure so that it refills to adjust the water level almost instantly when the clothes absorb the water. The only thing I don't like it that the hot water comes out at a trickle compared to the cold water. I can't figure out how to adjust that. I know there is something in there that you can do that to. (If anyone knows how, I'd appreciate the how-to! :)

I've had 4 sets of LG's and I really, really, liked them, I just couldn't get used to the teaspoon of water and the amount of time it took to fill. Wasted so much time, I mean come on, when you put a load of clothes in, a 5 second burst of water is NOT going to be enough. And it was these continued short bursts that drove me to get rid of them. By the time the machine decided to fill itself, the cycle was just about over.

Enjoy your new toys! -Laurent
