Sure, there may have been a few things that were suggested as firsts that weren't actually firsts for GM (the timer, being one of them. Within this community we widely acknowledge Bendix as having the first electromechanical timer on their introductory washer in 1937), as well as few other things that may not align perfectly to what we know.
Outside of that, I'm incredibly grateful the content creator ventured into something different from his comfort zone. The world needs to know about what happened in the past. He suggested that this particular clip was a trial for him, looking for commenters on YT to suggest if they like this type of content. If you look through the comments you'll find similar comments of nostalgia of growing up with a Frigidaire washer, or appreciation for putting something new out there.
No where did I hear him say that he is an expert on anything GM Frigidaire, at all, but rather someone who was curious about other non-automotive related divisions of GM and learned enough to put together a nice segment. If someone wanted to learn more, a quick Google search would land the curious observer here, and hopefully they'd learn more about our wonderful hobby.
I'm not looking for perfection from non-hobbyists but rather a curious mind to hear about something pretty remarkable that happened in the past. IMO, that’s what the clip was all about.
