hate to hear the "dump" or "scrap" word - What Model is it?

AD: " This is a vintage kitchen aid by hobart portable dishwasher. It is a vari-cycle model and is from the 1960s I do believe.
I think it works, but some of the hoses need new o-rings or replaced, as it leaked the one time I tried using it. It does power up though and it looks like it would work well.
there are whole web communities devoted to these kitchen aid dishwashers and appliances.

I can't guarantee anything about it, other than it is a good looking machine and it would clean up nice. I was just used as a countertop in our kitchen for about 9 years until I finally put a cabinet where this sat. Now the wife says its old and it has to go. I say its cool, its retro...

I really don't know what its worth, but bring a pickup truck and make me a cash offer. It'll go to the dump next week, hopefully someone will save it.
text me or email me " [this post was last edited: 10/11/2014-20:52]

I have a soft spot for the 14 series

Looks to be in rather good shape with possible low miles.  Absolutely not scrapper material.

Is anyone...

Going after this ?

Good Lord that is a beautiful machine.

If no one wants this, could someone from the Southern Congregation grab this and I would gladly compensate you for your time ?

I could pick it up I a few weeks. Thanks

OMG!!!  I would love this machine!!  If anyone here would be willing to pick it up and hold on to it until I could arrange transport, I'll gladly cover all your transport costs.   Please let me by PM or email....

I've heard back from the seller - he does want this gone quickly but can hold on to it for a short time so if someone could pick it up ASAP for me, I'll be eternally grateful!!   Pretty please??

Saved from the scrapper!

Good news everybody!  Brainard picked up the KitchenAid today - lord knows how he'll be getting it out of his car again, but he's got it.   Jackie's going to be in the Carolinas soon, too, so this should be migrating north shortly.

I've got to say a public thank you again to Brainard for helping me with this - but you know, folks here on this site will do just about anything to help save a vintage machine from becoming a Kia.

And just for the record, if anyone here ever needs help getting a machine in this neck of the woods,  please let me know!

I'm glad it was saved ...I didn't know about the rarity when I saw it but I just liked the way it looked, and that's why I posted it. Looks matter. :-) But it takes alot more to bring it around from being scrapped. Thanks to all for making the save.

Phil

Will be fun to see your pictures and hear you talk about your first load!
