i have a old Westinghouse square waffle iron sandwich grill the sandwich plates were VERY greasy. did some research and lay them in the sink pour a gallon or so of boiling water over them then sprinkle Borax (laundry additive) on them 1 cup borax for every gallon of water let soak for at least 2 hours then shine with a Brillo pad they came out looking new works well for aluminum cookware too
