Right now I am trying out a new Elite Gourmet burner. Quality is good for $12, the burner doesn't wobble around like customer complaints say it does- it now seems anchored in place. The burner itself is a bit uneven, and temp control is awful as it would be with an indirect bi metal thermostat- very long reset times and major temp swings. But it gets the job done and quality control is great and over all not bad for the price. I've used burners in the past that were 3 times more expensive and probably 5 times worse so I am not complaining. Cord looks like a golden sample btw, I really like it.
So overall you get your money's worth and I really like it for what it is.
With that said, can anyone recommend a really good burner money aside? What do you use or what do you use?
