Nice find

I have two of them myself, uninstalled so far. One I got at the Habitat Restore fully equipped with the blender, food processor, coffee grinder and I can't remember all else.

I saw this unit once when we visited a friend of my dads. I think one reason more did not sell is the expense: You could probably buy a blender, a mixer, and a food processor for less than the cost of the Nutone.

You have to have an electrician install the base-motor unit in your countertop-I have seen these installed in a "portable" base like some Blendtec metal base blenders.

I don't know if Nutone made a portable base cabinet on wheels for these but Ronson did for their competing Food Matic

Grew up with that in our kitchen. The mixer is way cool, but has limited capacity. If it wasn't put together properly, the contents of the bowl would be flung all over the kitchen by centripetal force. Great find!!!

Wow! What a discovery! I remember seeing these in a couple of homes growing up - seemed so modern! Anything that was built-in was super deluxe. And to find them NIB is amazing!

My Grandmother used to have one of these installed in her kitchen, I remember mixing cans of frozen OJ or other juices in that blender.... aaaah, memories!

kevin, that's exactly what we used ours for. Come to think of it, ours didn't have a handle on it like the one above. It was triangular, had indentions on each side that worked well for putting your fingers in for gripping anywhere up & down the vessel. the color was kind of pinkish/purpilish. We had the knife sharpener, the meat grinderr, and the blender.

Where I saw a lot of these Nutone built ins was in 60's and 70's highrise apartments. Maybe as a drawing card to get tenants to move in.
