Hi guys, hopefully someone can help me, i found this forum through a web search.
Me and my other half are currently buying a house but we need a washer and dryer, as we are furnishing a house we have a budget to stick to and we seem to have found a Gorenje washer/dryer set (see link) that looks to be a good set but i cant find a huge amount of info on them, from what i can see they have been making machines for a long time so should know what they are doing but does anyone on here have any experience of the brand/machines linked to?

GORENJE!

Hello, I live in a country where Gorenje appliances are comming from! :D
Ofcourse, they are most sold here (as our country brand like Hotpoint in UK), and I know alot of experiences!
Those models that you shared in the link are really great jetsystem, and nice programmes.
Quality is quite good (between Candy and Electrolux), and programmes and optons are really flexible and usable.
Tumble dryer sensor works OK, but they aren"t as gentle as they could bee to clothes (but still very good).
Go for it :D

I can"t see

It says this vid is forbidden in my country :(
Can you tell me results please?

I had chance to have a poke about with the machines i linked to today on a display and the ergonomics/fit and finish seem to be bob on - better built than an aqualits that was sat next to it. The dryer seemed a solid as well and i really liked the push the door to open mech that the machine had

However fit and finish although they are indicators of machine build quality dont tell the whole story. I am assuming that some people on here will probably sell washers - anyone sell these machines and if so what are your opinions on them?

The budget me and the Mrs have is pushed already for us to get this pair (she wants the machines black and matching) so I could really do with knowing what people think of the make

Sorry for the nagging questions but i just like to investigate everything before i spend money (Buy good, Buy once) and im a Yorkshireman so getting money out of me is difficult

quality of gorenje

People seem to quite like build quality of gorenjes, they are maintaining ok, and both washer and dryers are good.
I think that would be a good purchase! :D

Gorenje

My parents have a set they inherited from me when I changed to the Miele. Been going over 6 years and never missed a beat.
It's a 6.5kg model with 1600rpm spin and the condensor dryer.

Hello, I live in a country where Gorenje appliances are comm

Gorenje is a Slovenian brand not Serbian.
Some appliances (freezers and some refrigerators) are made in Serbia. That's all.

I know :D

With they are "comming from" I meant produced, but I just knew they have factory in Serbia, not knowing what are they producing ;)

Yes Dejan in Valjevo they have a fridge / freezer factory since 2006 and I think they are going to open a boiler factory in Stara Pazova.
(Pozdrav Dejane)

Don't know much about them

But I've heard they're excellent machines for the price, and I'd definately look into one/

Dunno how the Gadget show got those results but I'd certainly choose one over a Gorenje over an LG anyday and I'm sure the wash and stain removal results would be on par if not better. It's mostly the way the machine is used which determines the results, it's very rare to have a machine which dosen't wash well if used correctly!

Just for the info.

the gadget show put every machine the gorenje, indesit moon and LG steam on 60oc cycles with no options selected.
The LG was quickest and the best at cleaning and everything etc.

Gorenje machines do seem good though :)

Not necessarily a fair test then

Considering some machines default to their most intensive programme and others default to shorter cycles with the option to have a more intensive cycle (Bosch, Indesit, etc).

Do we know what detergent they used? How much they used in each machine? The hardness of the water each machine was run off? How many clothes were put into each machine? Given the machines probably have different size drums, this could be an important factor.

So basically, I'd completely take these tests with a pinch of salt.

@gorenje

Koju masinu ti imas?
Imas facebook ili msn..ja sam na faceu Dejan Humar, pa me dodaj! :D
Pozdrav!! :D
Ako me ne razumes na Srpskom, onda cu da zamolim tatu da mi prevede na Slovenski, posto je on iz Slovenije ;)

@ nrones

Sorry guys, I apologise for this conversation between me and Dejan (nrones) in (my not so perfect) serbian. I said that he can speak in his own language but better not here because you other guys will not understand and this is not fair. Than I said that I own an old Gorenje PEA from 1971 that I installed few months ago. Previously I had a Gorenje WS 43122 that I gave to my mother because I wanted to have an old washing machine.
Ingemar

Sorry from me too!

I know it"s better to talk on english here!
Just to translate my part.
I asked him what washer is he using, then I said him to find me on facebook (you all can add me as a friend - Dejan Humar)
And I also said him that if he doesn"t understand Serbian, I can communicate with im on Slovenian, because my dad is from Slovenia.

No Problem...

Just great we have this place and can come together to make contact & discuss appliances in one or many native languages...

The Gorenje range certainly are picking up momentum especially in the Laundry field....I have been amazed when I ask people how they heard about Gorenje, many say "Oh it was my trusty local engineer who suggested it" and apparently many have bought them and like them as sturdy reliable machines and the fact that they can work on them if required in later years etc... or for simple maintenance!!

Heres our best sellers at the moment with a 5 year Guarantee...
