Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

My neighbour to my left (2 doors away) they always bought hoover and had the logic, new wave 1100 then a 1300 spin edition model that lasted two years and i think it was 5.5kg or 6kg. Now this time they bought the wml540 in white, and say its better than their old washer and you can fit more clothes in, they got it for £220 which was cheaper than other places. They are saying it will last longer but they like to replace washing machines every couple of years but the new wave was there longer than the rest as well as the logic.

just to let u know if its the wml540 and think its clockwise,
think again lol this one is what hoover ac110 has and its really an indesit wixxl 1400 model

hopefully you will get a good one, like me with my hotpoint wma 58. Its nearly 5 years old i think and still working 100% without problems. I hope it lasts like 10 years atleast. Other people had similar machines and theres are R.I.P.
They are good value for money, i'd say.

the rinsing will hopefully be better than the current Hottie

Highly doubt it if I'm honest.

The ones I've seen don't rinse all that well, and certainly are poorer than WM Hotpoints

Sorry I just really dislike these Indesits :)

Ok I'll keep my gob shut now!

I thought they did slow tumbles with low water level then a high level fill with fast tumbles.

Please correct me if i'm wrong.

If thats incorrect, how do they rinse?

I believe they do

but don't expect the rinsing you had from the wm53

4 rinses with good interms using a total of 85l of water will naturally produce better results than 2 rinses using almost half that.

If I had to use one I wouldn't dream of using it without extra rinse.

From what users have told me and ive witnessed from the wf and wt range is that rinsing is good, and the high water level and fast tumbles help a lot. In the ultimas the spin rinsing also helps a lot.

Still ,on the fast wash eco it does 10 second ditribution tumbles during the wash.

Hi all

Having owned a modern Hottie, which I left at my last property this is what I liked, disliked -

Disliked
Over sensitive out of balance
Repetitive distribution (unlike Zanussi which adjusts accordingly and quickly)
Quiet but fairly noisy on top spin
Cheaply made, door catch would not engage easily
Hated the spin dry on washer dryer feature, clothes were ruined

Liked
Nice design
Great programmes, with shorter options
Despite OOB fairly stable
Deep water levels
Intresting 2 stage fast spin

I should add that I only left the machine as I wanted to get a new one (for fun). I used the delay timer at times and occassionally the door did not engage and so the wash did not start. When I was busy this was a pain in the neck.

My new flat had a Whirlpool already there, which I later replaced with the Zanni.

Good luck with your new machine, I'm sure you will like it!

BTW which model did you have Rob?

My cosin sis has got a built in neff washer dryer which is about £1000 in comet. The bosch and siemens are the same looking and programmes too, but different pricing, Bosch lowest then neff then siemens. That machnes drying cycle also spins during the drying process because once i was there and she was using the cottons 40oc for normal ligh soiled loads and wanted to do washes in an hour, so showed her the short button. She'll never use the dryer but we thought lets give it a go today, we did and it started spinning but we found the clothes were harder to iron than natural dry whether indoors or outdoor.

Hi there

I had the WD640, which was an Aquarius washer dryer, roughly 3 years old now.

It ruined a few jumpers in the dryer. It would literally spin at 1400 and leave the clothes all marked. That aside I did quite like it and if you selected gentle dry the spins were cut. I do however, much prefer the Zanussi Jetsystem.

I got it on ebay as new but used a few times. The seller said they had been bought a machine at the same time by their son.

Yes i have just took the top off the old Hottie.I had three concerns though:

1.The belt was hanging off the pulley.
2.The outer tub had a few cracks on it.
3.There was a black mark on the wiring near the timer.

So i think it could of shorted out.

Pictures coming soon!
