Great to see you guys getting together, its always fun and it doesnt matter if its 4 or twenty four, Kelly, can smell that bakin over here!!

The Canadian version of The lady Kenmore was badged for us over here for Servis UK...only ever seen one...lovely machine...

It looks like a good old vac service was taking place as well..

Now did you all put those Miele laundry pair to good use?? what do you think>??

Thanks for showing us a grand time, Mike

The Northwest, the East Coast, our hive is buzzing.

Great to see you all in fine wash/vac-party form. Think it's really fun that Jon&Tony brought a washer to the wash-in. Over-the-top playfulness. And Adolph--what a charmer! Still a pup, I bet, huh?--a one to two year old.

Thanks for sharing.

MickeyD,

Adolf is definitely still a puppy although a large puppy. He just turned 2 years old a couple of weeks ago. Honestly, I had no idea Lynn did not like dogs so now it would make total sense to me why Adolf would want to be around him so much. It's very important that Adolf is liked by EVERYONE. :-) Thanks Lynn for being such a good sport. I assure you he had a fantastic time and he slept very well last night because of being so worn out. Wash-ins are fun for animals too you know.

Brun, I wish I could have spent more time visiting with you. Funny how we all get so wrapped up in various things that we make it home realizing we didn't get to visit with every single person as much as we wanted to. It was a real delight meeting you and I'm going to make a phone call today regarding that certain item you want that is at the Maytag dealer down the street from me. :-) When planning just keep in mind that they want all of their stored wringers, etc gone by the end of this month so not much time left. I'll send you an email tonight hopefully with details.

I bet Lynn might like dogs a bit more after a love machine like Adolph. When they're that irresistible, it's hard not to soften.

Do I detect another Wringer Man coming aboard in Brun? Yippee!!!

Sincerity Falls Flat

The Mini Basket wash in in Seattle brought so many delightful surprises. They came in the name of Brian, Patrick, Brun and Adolph, four I had never met. I tried to convey the uniqueness of each person in a small introductory biography. I erred in referring to Pdub as Brian. I try to evoke and convey sincerity and meaning in my words and gestures of friendship and then I didn't properly identify Patrick. I apologize and will promise to make it up to him in future visits. I suppose I was disappointed to find my online persona had led most to expect a bombastic and sarcastic masher. I often use crazy title lines to grab attention and I can hardly containly my glee anytime there can be a double entendre. To these ends, I make a proclamation. I will take more time to proof read my posts so they contain correct information and I will lose the tongue in cheek cheekiness. Please accept my apologies Patrick and know I will be there to dance on the glass top range. You my friend are a most amazing man, worthy of nothing but the finest.[this post was last edited: 10/11/2010-20:23]

Kelly, Kelly, Kelly!

No offense taken in the mis-identification. And don't change a thing about yourself, you are fine just as you are.

As I told Kelly, he is a very kind, gentle, caring man who in person does not seek the spotlight. It is hard to convey ones true personality in typed form but let me assure you Kelly is the real gem here. As you would expect from his posts he really knows his way around a kitchen. I had some of the best food I have eaten made by him.

Good times were had by all!

Linger Over Dessert

I want last week to start all over again. When you meet kindred souls, delight in each other's interests and have such warm and easy conversations it causes a vacuum when apart. The last glimpse of the West Coast Mini Basket. Come back soon, ya'll hear now?

Kelly,

Definitely will do it again soon. I plan on pulling out the GE for a tune-up since she's been resting for the last couple of months while I give the 1-18 some use. You mentioned mini-basket and turns out I have two different mini-baskets to play with for that machine now. Good times!

Not sure if you have my email address or not but if you don't be sure to get it from Patrick so we can stay in touch that way too. We really should chat more.

Hugs!

Jon

Kelly , Jon i hate when two things are going on at the same time you guy's seem to have a great time wish i was there to see the vacuums and some of those great deserts you have made .
Best to you guy's.

Darren,

I know what you mean. I'm sitting here in Portland thinking about how it took me moving from the D.C. suburbs for there to actually be an East coast wash-in. Talk about the timing! But we did have a nice time here too. I really want to work on getting a more cohesive group over here in the northwest at least. Some great folks with some great collections over here. Anytime you guys are heading our way let us know for sure!

Jon

Here Here

I agree with Jon, we need to keep the momentum going. The real instigater is Greg who brought it all to fruition for us in the Northwest. I'm moving to a big place in December and there's room to house many machines and at least 30 guests. Between Jon in Portland, Greg in Bellevue and Me in the hinterlands of eastern Washington we can fuel the flames of excitement. Each area seems to have the heir apparent, mad scientist, who figures out all things mechanical and I think Patrick wins the prize with Brian giving him a run for the title so we're in good company. Now to coax Eddy into running the border for some good times and we'll feel complete.

It's true! I've wanted to meet some of the other "nuts" on AW. So I used Kelly as the guinea pig and had him put his Mixfinder on the invite. It worked! I don't think I'd know what to do if 30 showed up the first time. Kelly sure would have had the desert done though.
But you know what, we have to know we are a success! Why? Because we've had over 2300 hits for this topic! It's thrilling to read each day the wonderful words that have been said. The next one will be bigger, better and so much more planned, that I promise. Hopefully Eddy, powerfin, and others will see the fun we had and want to enjoy the cameradere, the food and the mayhem! It's never to late to start planning the next one! Greg
