I would like to ask a question to the group on how much it costs to have your hair cut and how often. This is for both male and females. All countries are welcome. If you do it yourself no need to reply. I own a salon and was wondering what the norm is that everyone pays. I appreciate your input.
Thanks
Jon

Hair is cut once a month at $10, with an additional $3 tip.

Yep, I'm a cheap ass :)

Have had the same hair style since 1985, which is apparent is RCD's 806 posts.

AUD$15.00....no tip.

It's not expected nor required here.....and thankfully, neither is it in cafe's or restaurants to the level of the US/Canada....

$10 no tip. He's a one chair barbershop.Tips are for working staff, not owners who garner all the profit for themselves and not paying anyone out if. Every 4 weeks roughly

Now if I went to a chain type hair cutters I would tip whomever cut my hair about 10%

$9.00 and a dollar tip to one person sop who is a friend every 4 weeks to have it done.

$13 plus 2 or 3 tip every 3 months here. I get it done short, so it will last me that long, because I hate shelling out money to get my hair cut LOL.

You guys are getting a bahgin!

$50 for Skyler and I, kids cut is $15, the rest is mine and tip.

It's worth every penny though, I've had more compliments on this haircut than any in years - - and look who I get to see once every 3-4 weeks!!

Bobby is a very nice guy, his parents both are in the cosmetology biz and he has a sister that is in beauty school now.

oh Bobby!

$11 + $5 tip.
No shampooing.

Was every 2 weeks (coiniciding with payday) now every 4.

4 in winter and economizing.

Their "signature" is an Oster massager for a backrub. Natasha adds a forehead massage and nails on the neck and scalp. Just marvelous! In Gary's part of cental Connecitcut some married men just don't get haircuts or shave.

Mine is FREE - heehee!!! I've got my own Whal Clippers and, zippydeedip, it's off. If I don't do it myself there is always someone else in the house happy to help. I've paid as much as $30 for a five minute head shave and was thinking all the while that I can do it better myself. Why should I pay someone $15 or $30 for five or ten minutes work.

All I ever wanted for christmas was a Flowbee!!!

Here I pay 35€ (53 USD) for beard and hair cut (25€ hair alone), I cut my hair once a month and the beard, I trim it myself once or twice a week, plus the time I have it professionally done when I cut my hair. When I dye them the price is 60€/65€ (90/97 USD), I love that tipping in Italy is actually forbidden by law and you're not required to leave any.
I change my hairstyle and sometimes colour 4/5 times per year and beard style depends on my morning mood. I attach a photo of my (quasi) latest haircut and beard.

Gabriele is adorable too!

Very handsome indeed.

It costs old meanie here nothing either and I adopt Rapunzel's method too - usually do it myself every couple of weeks. I dont have that much hair anyway (on top at least) and now that it is white (eeeeekkkk!!!!) I keep it very short (zero crop). I have a short crop beard too - I have not shaved my chin since 1976!

When I had hair I used to love getting it professionally cut and styled as I found it so very relaxing but now it is really just not worth it

$20 and a $2 - $3 tip. I get it done average of 8 weeks. I had longish hair in the 70's, so I let it grow out a bit. Rachael cuts my hair and has been doing so for about 7 years, and she's a customer of mine as well, so it works both ways.

I guess it depends on if you're a barber or stylist- cause barbers get paid less.
