Hey, get a load of today's catch, in all its harvest gold glory! The dryer is a DE606 from April '76 and appears to be in mint shape. The washer is unfortunately a BOL (a KA107) but I intend to change that, it's a beaut, too! Rescued from the recycler truck just in time...

Cory, a beautiful Harvest. Looks to be either a A108 or a Fabric-Matic with Normal, PP, and Delicate separate cycles on the timer (including individual Delicate cycle and not just the word Delicate the last 4-6 mins. of regualr wash cycle). And can't tell if that's an electronic sensor dryer or just auto dry.

Thanks guys!
Here's a snap of the timers- Am I to assume this 107 features a 1-speed motor?
I've got the lighted controls from a DE806 that would look great on this one. Unfortunately, there was an 806 washer that I missed but there's a chance the recycler hasn't crushed it yet. I'll know tomorrow ; )

Beautiful set!!!

This set looks like it just came out of the box. Appnut's correct, the washer is an A108, 1-speed 3 cycle machine. I have the same washer only in white. Usually on the older center-dial Maytag's I have seen, the timer dial has the paint almost worn off from use. However, yours has been very well taken care of and shows no signs of wear in the picture. What a beautiful find!!!! Congratulations!!!

Yes Cory, it's a 1-speed. Fabric-Matics were Maytag's way of offering a "cheaper" way to do modern fabrics without having to offer a 2-speed motor in a kinda value-priced machine.

A107

A107 was the standard capacity Fabric matic model just before the '08 series came out. Fabric matic was Maytags one speed machines that use a wash/soak/wash period for delicate fabrics.I will post a scan on this model....

This is also the exact machine (with a different control panel naturally) that's used in the commercial top loaders. Remember the Maytag POD a couple of days ago touting ability to wash woolens?

Don't know what you Paid or if

it was free, nevertheless, how about beauty's! Man those sure are nice. Take them for face value. Like Launderess says, if Maytag would only take a step back to the past and see what is/was the best!!

Ooo, the pictures are worth a thousand words! They look even better than of what you spoke. I can't wait to go to the yard to grab parts - fantastic find my friend!!!

Partscounterman, I love the sales lit with the control panel features - do you have any from the 66 - 67 era?

Ben

June is Maytag Month Big TIme!

Cory that set looks to be brand new! Congratulations on saving these. Why do people scrap such nice stuff? (So we can grab it I guess) Those will look FINE with your lighted control panels!
Here is a preview. (and Ben this adv. booket is from 1966) (:
