Sandy, I am not surprised that you would delete my message, especially given your views on what this site should be (and not be).
My perspective on the matter is very simply: The day Robert asks all of us or just me to stop posting on anything which is not expressly vintage appliance or modern laundry oriented will be the day I stop doing so. Until then, I will post whatever he permits me to post.

Both before I began actively posting and during the several three month breaks I have taken from posting here since 2005, there have been enormous fights, replete with people calling employers and having members fired from their jobs, reports being sent to the FBI and mobbing (tick, tock) at a level which has destroyed more than one internet forum completely.

In short, with or without me, you will have a forum which does not fulfill your desires. By all means, continue to delete my postings when they offend you. Personally, except for racists and mobbing, I won't be contacting Robert, but to each his own.

Keven there was absolutely no need to post what you just posted above. This thread was slipping down the Yellow Index and you just instigated opening up wounds that had been healing.

I think you need a little Super Forum break, meaning I would appreciate it (by saying "appreciate" I'm saying it nicely) if you will refrain from starting any new threads that have anything to do with politics, religion, current events or other way off topic for this website. I think it would be in the everyone's best interest for a bit.

Maybe at some point this year I will create a members-only (via a small fee members only that is) special rip-each other to threads but don't bother me anything-goes Super Forum, but I don't have the time now.

Besides what ever happened to your beautiful pink WD-59, I would love to see some updated pictures of it (in the Imperial Forum that is).

Keven, why do you always feel the need to stir the shit? To say that with or without you, that this is a forum that does not fulfill our desires is just arrogant. This place is many different things to different people, including its creator and I don't think you're in any position to say exactly what that is....nor is any one else.

You of all people, being a teacher, should know the value of different ideas and opposing opinions, and how those can converge such that people can agree to disagree, while keeping a positive outlook and still respecting each other's opinions, maybe even learning and growing from the experience. You know, you're not always right either my friend!!

I know that you feel that you are unfairly targeted by a certain few (the "blue hairs" as we may call them), but what you did here today might be a reason for this. Granted, some people here have not been very nice in the past, and not just to you, but to others. But that is no reason to stir the pot. You just make the whole situation worse....I just don't know if you'll ever see this. Because someone else acts like a jackass does not mean one cannot rise above those circumstances and just be the better person if for no other reason than it's the classy thing to do. You don't have to come back with ascerbic replies to make a point.

Ah Yes, the bickering and side-swipes are the exact reason why I don't contribute to the site very much anymore!! Regardless of the rules, which Robert has layed out and explained over and over, it seems that some people just don't want to abide by them. Rules are rules, Robert, I support you.
