The dryer was built the 52nd week of 1972 and the washer the 7th week of 1973.

The new next door neighbors had an extremely similar set--fluorescent-lit panels with timed bleach softener dispensers with chromed surgilator and dryer had full-width drop down door. This washer has stpped-down agitation during wash of PP cycle and finishes rest of cycle with gentle agitaiton.

Hot/Warm and Warm/Warm, the way God intended laundry to be washed and rinsed.

No console lights on them.  The Imperial 8700 & 8800, and Imperial Mark 12 9920 are fluorescent-lighted.

The new neighbors moved in like between 1967 & 1969. the dryer had 5 temps and the start function was integral to every tempbutton, not a separate start switch.

Overall look to be taken care of. Don’t seem to be high mileage since the finish on the inside of the matching dryer is still there, has rubbed off a little on the rear bulkhead, but not bad for something from 1973.

Don’t know who got them, probably someone who hasn’t been active in years or a private collector. Possibly someone in one of the facebook groups.
