I think the dishwasher is Frigidaire...according to the listing, the house was built in 1961 and is just down the road from me...and I think the price is right!

Yep, a 1963/64 Imperial dishwasher, looks like near or TOL double wall oven, and a nice cooktop.  Pesonally, I think someone did a poor job of picking the fixtures in the master bath and the half bath.  The sinks look dated for what was being sold at the time.  I cannot understand why the builder didn't opt for a sink like seen in the "hall bath" for the master bath and half bath.  Just looks too 1950s for a 1961 house.  Did not see that in 1960 or beyond houses n Houston that's for sure.  I'm specifically referring to the stand-alone sink without a cabinet underneath and should have opted for a tile surface around it rather than formica.  That's a very lovely house otherwise.

I see that the American-Standard bath tub is like my Ming Green one, but in Venetian Pink. I was under the impression that Standard had restyled that size tub around '58 or so. Maybe they were old stock.

My house was started in 1952 and not completed until 1954. For whatever reason, the house was begun and either not sold and/or finished until much later. Perhaps there was a similar story here.

Our house was built with all Standard pluming fixtures but only two toilets and a battered wall sink remained when we bought it in 1998. I've always wondered what the kitchen fixtures and appliances were originally. If only to be able to blink back in time...

The bath

Our 1961 house has a similar tub and what looks like the same toilet, only in gray. Our tub, though, doesn't have the bump-out in the side and the tub cavity is actually angled a bit diagonally within the footprint of the tub fixture. The toilet tank in the picture looks like a flat center in the front 1/3, with either side kind of slanting back as kind of a wide bevel-look.

All our bathroom counter tops are Formica. The full bath in the hall is in good condition--still a bit of sparkle left in it. A friend of ours once said the pattern reminds her of the opening credits of Bewitched. LOL

I have a feeling the original sink in the half bath/laundry room was probably a standalone with no vanity. What is in there now is a cheapie cabinet/one-piece, probably from the 80s or very early 90s. (We had to take down a bunch of Country Geese wallpaper border in that room when we moved in.)

Brian, your tub is the later style. I think they restyled all the 5' tubs in '58. The smaller ones a little later.
