I replaced the upper seal but did NOT replace the lower tub bearing as it was not noisey and tranny spun great. The leak was caught right away.

I replaced the seal in late may and it started leaking on june 12th during a full load agitation.

I took back apart and find nothing wrong. It is leaking out the relief holes of the lower bearing.

Ideas please before I scrap.

I learned long long ago to just change the bearing any time you change the stem seal. I was a Maytag factory service dealer for about 15 years and I could not even venture a guess as to how many I have changed. Never had a leak after changing both parts. While the bearing itself might not be worn what sometimes happens is the rubber that the bearing is set in can swell causing it to not allow the stem seal to fully seat. You can use a sharp utility knife to trim back the rubber that extends beyond the top of the bearing sleeve and it should solve your problem. But it's been over 20 years since I have tried this because I just started changing them both.
