Help! New FL Speed Queen is misbehaving!

Well...

Please read the entire post. The machine has been identified as damaged. Probably during shipping. It is usable, to a degree. And is being replaced by Speed Queen/ABT, so there isn't really a reason to freak out at this point.

I understand this or that loose nut can be tightened and therefore premature calls for a new machine would be out of place.
But in this era of spinsploding FL washing machines...after seeing that video I would want a new one too.
I actually commented earlier before actually watching the video...yesh! I was reading on my phone and lacked the bandwidth. Now that I have, I see the front is moving independently from the top of the machine! This thing spins at what, 1100-1200 rpm?
I'm sorry no tech can determine on site the machine is safe after sustaining a blow hard enough to cause that, hair line cracks, percision alignments out of whack etc. This is not some new Caddy owner upset about finger prints on the glass.

Good on ya, you made the right call (as it were), I hope you're washing again soon.

The more I review the situation, I had forgotten that the top of the washer box was cut open...that seems odd to me, and makes me think that the washer was dropped or something, they opened it, couldn't see any real damaged and delivered it. ABT.com states that it will be delivered in a 'factory sealed box' on their website.

I popped the top Malcolm as you suggested and everything seems to be in alignment...I'd forgotten how easy that is to do. My setup didn't allow me to fully open the top, but I did poke around to make sure nothing was being hit as it bounced around (wires, etc.). Oddly, I could not get the thing to duplicate the noise when open (manually moving the drum). As soon as I buttoned it back up (the panel is still loose for reasons mentioned above), it started to bang again. I'm thinking the boot is very stiff or installed incorrectly. It seems to be misaligned as the left side of the drum vibrates/pushes more.

Oh, and by the way, it's now dripping at the bottom of the door seal and making a new clanking noise in addition to the previous noises. I'm happy I requested a new one and will keep everyone posted on the exchange. It will be a few weeks before the next one gets here.

In the meantime, I'm enjoying playing with the control panel and the endless options.
