Ok... I posted recently how I came back from Boston with a Regina Electrikbroom that was rescued from a demise in a dumpster, having lived a lonely life of non-use in a (now deceased) hoarder's house.

I was delighted with my find, cause lets face it: ANYTHING that helps me clean my house is a godsend! However.... The handle is cracked and keeps coming off, decreasing my pleasure in it's usage somewhat. Do any of you Vacuum Gods have a spare handle... I like that this one has the thingamabob for use in wrapping up the cord...

Also, I'm curious of the vintage of this puppy. Is there anyway to find out the date of it's manufacture? It seems to be the standard model, without a dial to adjust for floor, rug, etc...

Bob,

UnfortunatelyI donthave a handle for you, but a suggestion about possibly repairing it, maybe if you removed that handle applied some strong adhesive glue to the metal part of handle that the plastic part covers and then re apply plastic portion

I have found you can repair a lot of pieces like this. Simply remove the handle and use a heavy duty glue gun on the cracked parts. Apply the glue hold it in place together for a few minutes then go to the next part and continue till all is back together. Wait an addition 5 to 10 minutes then reassemble and your good to go. Another method is with gorilla glue doing the same thing. Both are reasonably strong menders.
