Here's an odd one, a 1965 Lady K washer..... in avocado???

Your explanation is correct Kevin except the filtered water renters the tub at the bottom and the unfiltered water enters the water system through the side check valve.

1970ish KM washer and dryer with the timer dials only exposed at the top behind a window. My business partner Jason has a white pair of these [ electric dryer ] that he and restored to like new mechanical condition a couple years ago [ they look great also ] This washer has the regular wide belt, Jason may be willing to sell these if the price is right, let me know. Jason did a post here several years ago featuring this washer that we photo-shopped a orbital Kelvinator agitator into.

Your explanation is correct Kevin except..............

Thanks for the correction John, obviously I had it backwards.   Oops!

1970s Alphabet dial Kenmore's

Mark you were correct that this 2nd version of this style washer did have the narrow Quite PAC drive belt, the earlier ones we have only have an incandescent dial light and no detergent dispenser. These later 1973 machines were very good looking machines, I especially liked the way that the control consoles were color matched to the cabinet color.

The Tawny Gold 800 set was pretty close to TOL for the time, though they are 1972 models. I think these had the gold Vari-Flex since they are not LKs, whereas the Lady K had the white Vari-Flex.

This console is actually dimensionally the same as the console on the 1972 Kenmore 700, though the 700 had an incandescent light not the flourescent. I too like the console and the color-match feature, however I've never been a fan of the windows.

The Kenmore 800 version doesn't seem to be around much these days, though I think Dick_S has or had one (chech his photo album). I saw a few of these in my travels with Kenmores in the 1990s, but have seen far more of the 700 here on the site.

Here's a picture of a dryer I have in the original window style. This is a 1970 model. It is available should anyone want it, I'd love to find it a home.
