It all depends.
Right now with shipping costs very dear large and even smaller vintage appliances such as dishwashers or washing machines cost a bundle to shift. Unless there is a vast local market for such things the value is very low. Most likely as Kevin suggested the seller is just charging a nominal amount in the hopes the beast of a range will go to a good home rather than the scrappers.
Keep in mind that sort of range would likely require careful disassembly, crating and what not to ship safely. All of which would add to the cost. Suppose if it were going just cross town or around the block you could take it in main sections on the back of a pick-up, but otherwise be prepared to pay.
If you look at fleaPay lately vintage appliances aren't shifting like they used to; many are relisted over and over with no takers. Since eBay has rolled out various free listing schemes it costs sellers nothing to keep the things up.
