But since one has confined the "working" box to a vintage Persil tin (see previous thread), things are well buttoned down on that front.
Am only using true European detergents in the new AEG so the Persil is now being depleted. Am doing this for various reasons but mainly because the machine and detergent were designed for each other. Also unlike the Miele one cannot easily do extra rinses. If there is detergent residue after the series of programmed rinsed in the AEG all one can do is either wait until the cycle is over and set for another rinse and spin, or abort final spin and do same. Would rather avoid all that and simply use proper detergent in correct dosage.
Many persons in NYC well at least Manhattan who own Miele and even other front loaders get their Persil or Miele laundry product fix from this particular shop. Their prices while higher than perhaps ordering from Miele directly, are still cheaper than most places selling the stuff online, and that includes eBay.
Case in point someone is selling Persil gel on eBay at nearly $38 per jug. It is only $20 (plus tax) at this store. Mind you the place is only several blocks away so we don't have to pay for shipping. Miele USA online sells same for exact price but living outside of NJ one wouldn't pay sales tax just shipping.
Have found with good rinsing and proper dosage the scent of this Persil isn't that bad after laundry is dried. While we tend to line dry especially after tumble drying the fragrance is faint.
