Hey everyone! I hope all is well. I havent posted anything on this forum in quite a while. But I have stayed current and whatnot.
I have a Maytag Wringer washing machine that I aquired quite a while ago from RevvinKevin. (Sorry if I spelled it wrong, Kevin). It worked very well as MY dailey driver. My mother and sister use a Kenmore Front Loader. The One made by Electrolux. But my wringer would wash three fairly full loads every Saturday! Alas!! Maytag's reliability still lives on!
But, about a month ago, the agitator got a large crack down the side. I decided to remove the agitator and just try to replace it.
The plate on the back says:
The Maytag Gyratator Washer
Model:_2L
Serial No. 76114VR
Now the first thing I noticed was it's called THE Maytag washer. No. No. It's not A Maytag washer. It's THE Maytag washer! XD Just a little Chance Humor.
Unfortunatly, the first letter/number of the Model number is scratched off. Hopin' y'all can help me figure that out.
The main things I would like to know are:
*The year is was built
*The mystery letter/number
*And if an agitator from a later, turquoise maytag wringer would fit my washer.
Anything anyone has to pitch in is greatly appriciated. I love the conversation.
Thanks everyone!!
Well reguards and best wishes
